Tail Circles

This exercise should only be performed if the horse is trustworthy around the hind quarters and always carry out with extreme caution.

Stand to the side of the horse’s hind quarters and gently hold the dock placing your hand on the underside. Lift the dock straight up and gently incline it forward toward the horses head as far as the horse will comfortably allow and hold for 10 seconds. Then take the dock from the upright position and circle slowly through 360 degrees. Complete a couple of circles clockwise and a couple anti clockwise.
